HipHop was introduced to me early in life. My mother (Queen Gina) tried her best to keep me away from the explicit side of rap but it’s unavoidable in the hood. My mom’s love for R&B & Soul, from Jill Scott, Brian McKnight, to Aaliyah played at the house. I was introduced to Biggie, PAC, Nas, & Hot Boyz, from that point on Rap changed my perspective and my life would never be the same.

I go CRAZY for live instruments and samples. Soul infused in rap gets my pen moving. Melody has become more prominent in our music, especially with R&B shrinking down. I stay true to my sound, but I experiment with different harmonies to add layers to the music. Beat choices are dumb important so I pick my beats with a purpose. Our engineer “Lokii 2 Eyes” is a dope artist in his own right so he gets the meticulous detail I put into my sound. What I talk about is what I live, or what I’m around. Music should be everything from hype, chill, motivational, lyrical but it should be who you are not a created player. I encompass everything the new wave of real rap should sound like.
